WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT
SPRAVATO® & IV Treatment use a medication for treatment-resistant depression and acute suicidal ideation/behavior. It can be used as a nasal spray or by injection into a vein. This medication has been shown to help improve symptoms of depression within the first 24 hours after it was administered.
What is SPRAVATO®?
SPRAVATO® is an intranasal form of medication. It is an FDA-approved medication used to treat depression and has been shown to quickly improve symptoms of depression, sometimes after the first or second treatment. A standard treatment course is 2 times a week for 4 weeks, which is then reduced to once weekly for an additional 4 weeks. Depending on your response after the initial course, your treatment team may recommend the continuation of Spravato treatments beyond the first 8 weeks. Your treatments can be covered by insurance.
What is IV Ketamine?
IV Ketamine is an FDA-approved anesthetic medication that can also be used as an off-label, non-FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression and other mental health conditions. IV Ketamine is administered intravenously as an infusion and can show symptom relief as soon as the first treatment.
